Bonnet Island Estate combines the luxury of the present with the elegance of the past and is reminiscent of the Great Gatsby era offering a combination of 19th century grandeur and the modern amenities of today.

Situated along the gateway to Long Beach Island, New Jersey, and bordering a national wildlife refuge, the estate was built specifically for entertaining as a premier venue to host a truly unique wedding occasion.

Since the days in the latter quarter of the 19th century when it was known as “The Duck Inn,” the property has catered to various industries including fishing, transportation, recreation and tourism.

As a boy growing up on Long Beach Island, Chris Vernon, owner of Bonnet Island Estate, spent endless hours among the coastal bays and beaches. Even then, he dreamed of owning the two-acre site — sharing with others his love of the land’s beauty and serenity.

Bonnet Island Estate is a labor of love, a fulfillment of a dream, a realization of a vision, a tribute to history and a promise to nature.
