Inspired by the great coastal mansions along the east coast from Nantucket to Charleston, Bonnet Island Estate, with its classic gray shingles and white trim, welcomes guests to the private island on a carpet of crushed seashells.
The broad porte-cochere Entryway invites you to the elegant Main Hall with a tranquil Parlor to the left and bright, comfortable Great Room to the right overlooking the expansive East Veranda offering spectacular panoramic waterfront vistas.
The twelve private bedroom-suites, including junior and master bridal suites, are each decorated with a distinctive flair and include king-size beds, state-of-the-art electronics, in-room fireplaces, tiled baths with Jacuzzis and balconies with one-of-a-kind views.
The jewel of the property is the Boathouse Chapel, an original post and beam barn from Vermont that was transported and lovingly reassembled beam by beam at the estate. Inside are a stone hearth fireplace, whitewashed benches and wide plank flooring.
